A rich and luxurious orange Lamborghini (2013 model), which was once owned by Indian captain and Indian Premier League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli, is up for sale at a Kochi showroom for Rs 1.35 crore.
Virat Kohli had bought the Lamborghini – a Gallardo Spyder - in 2015 but he had sold it after a few months. The showroom sells used luxury cars and had acquired the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder from a Kolkata-based luxury pre-owned car dealer in January 2021.
Telangana Today quoted the marketing manager of the Kochi showroom, Royal Drive, as saying, "This is a 2013 model Lamborghini used by the cricketer for a short period. It has run only up to 10,000km."
Notably, the Gallardo Spyder is one of the best-selling Lamborghini cars and was named after an 18th-century bullfighting breeder Francisco Gallardo. The car was first showcased in 2008 at the Geneva Motor Show.
Also known as the LP560-4, the car is adorned with a V10 engine that can create a power of up to 560 PS and can go from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds.
As for Virat Kohli, the Indian cricketer is mighty fond of luxurious cars and is the proud owner of cars like Bentley Continental GT, Land Rover Vogue, and various models of the Audi.
On the cricket front, Virat is currently in the UAE for the second edition of the IPL. Virat has been grabbing headlines for a few days now. It was last week that he had announced stepping down from the T20I captaincy after the T20 World Cup. The cricketer, a few days later, also announced that he will renounce his captaincy for RCB after IPL 2021 as well.
