Kolkata-based cricketer, Sonu Yadav, dies during a practice session on Wednesday (20 March). He was said to have fallen ill and on taken to a hospital was declared 'brought dead'.

Yadav, a second-division cricketer, was batting when he started feeling discomfort. His teammates asked him to take a break, but Yadav's health continued to deteriorate.

The cricketer, who is a member of Ballygunge Sporting Club, was immediately taken to the medical unit of Cricket Association of Bengal where medical experts advised to take him to hospital.

Yadav was taken to SSKM Hospital but was declared 'brought dead.' The cause of his death is not yet known, but, medical authorities have said that they will conduct a post-mortem.
