It was another day, another century for Virat Kohli as he amassed 160 runs off 159 balls to give another win. The skipper led from the front as India beat South Africa by 124-runs to to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the six-match series.

This was Kohli's third score over 150. 

Here are some of the records set by the new master during the course of his inning on Wednesday: 

# It was Virat Kohli's 12th ODI century as Indian captain. He now holds the record for the most number of ODI centuries among Indian captains. He went past Sourav Ganguly's 11. Only Ricky Ponting and AB de Villiers are ahead of Kohli with 22 centuries.

# Kohli has now hit 55 international hundreds, the fifth most in history. With his century on Wednesday, he went ahead of Hashim Amla and Mahela Jayawardane. 

# Kohli's 160 not out is now the highest individual score by an Indian batsman against South Africa in South Africa. The previous best was Sourav Ganguly's 127 at Johannesburg in 2001

# The knock was highest score by an Indian in South Africa in ODIs. The previous highest was 152 by Tendulkar against Namibia at Pietermaritzburg in the 2003 World Cup. Coincidentally, it was Sachin's 34 century too.

# It was Kohli's 34th ODI century in just his 205th match. While Tendulkar had brought up his 34th ton in his 298th innings Kohli reached there in 197 innings.

# Kohli also hit his 100th six in ODI cricket. He is the third Indian in the list, behind Dhoni (216) and Rohit Sharma (165). 

# Kohli also became the first Indian to score more than 100 runs by running. He became the fifth batsman in ODI history to achieve that feat.

# Kohli, with 318 runs in this series so far, now also has the most runs for a visiting batsman in a bilateral ODI series against South Africa in South Africa.
