'KKR family just got bigger!' IPL franchise shares news of Pat Cummins' engagement to girlfriend Becky Boston

Surely 2019 turned out to be an exciting year for Australia fast-bowler Pat Cummins and it looks to continue in 2020. 

From retaining the Ashes Test series to winning against Pakistan and New Zealand, Pat Cummins helped his team in every possible way.

If that was not enough, the right-arm pacer finished 2019 as the highest wicket-taker in the longest format of the game.

The cherry on the cake was bagging a lucrative contract from his former Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). 

The franchise shelled out a whopping amount of INR 15.5 crores to get Cummins’ into the squad.

The bidding ended with Cummins, who had a base price of INR 2 crore, becoming the most expensive overseas player in the history of IPL. 

Now to start the New Year on a good note, Cummins got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Becky Boston.

Cummins took to Instagram to reveal the news and posted a picture of his fiancee showing the engagement ring with a big smile.

As for the IPL, the 13th season is set to begin on 29 March and the tournament final will be held on 24 May at Wankhede, Mumbai.
