Team India assistant coach Sanjay Bangar is helping Kohli.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli was in the nets at Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex on Wednesday, mere two weeks after the neck injury.
According to a report in Times of India, Kohli was practicing with Team India's assistant coach Sanjay Bangar. The duo began in the early afternoon on Wednesday and trained for a few hours at an indoor facility in BKC. Kohli and Bangar are expected to keep the same schedule for at least a week.
On June 15, Kohli is scheduled to undergo a fitness test in Bengaluru. This is just a day after the one-off test match against Afghanistan.
"He's begun with a relatively lighter stint at the indoor nets. In a couple of days, he’ll be back on the field and by the end of the first two weeks (of June) – around the15th – he’ll be in Bangalore for the fitness test and to begin training," the daily quoted a source.
They also said that the 29-year-old batsman is expected to make full recovery in the next two weeks. That makes him fit for Team India's upcoming England tour. The T20 squad is scheduled to leave for Ireland on June 23. They will play two T20I with Ireland in Dublin before the England tour begins on July 3.
The England v/s India series consists of three ODIs, a five-Test series starting August 1.
