India recently had a successful tour of Australia, where they won historic Test and One-Day International (ODI) series, while they drew the Twenty20 International (T20I) series.

A win in the Test and ODI series meant Virat Kohli became the first-ever Indian captain to achieve that. In fact, he was the first Asian captain to have conquered the Aussies at their backyard in the longest format.

Apart from the captaincy, Kohli even made significant contributions with the bat. In the recently ended three-match ODI series, Kohli finished with 153 runs at an average of 51 and that included his 39th ODI hundred.

He had scores of 3,104 and 46 and in all three matches, he was dismissed by the same bowler - Jhye Richardson

The 22-year-old fast bowler, who slew Kohli in the ODI series, finished as the second highest wicket-taker of the series with six scalps to his name, two behind the leader Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Richardson clinched his career-best figures of 4 for 26 in the opening ODI at the Adelaide Oval and helped the hosts to go 1-0 up in the series. Unfortunately, he managed to claim just two more wickets in the next two matches.

However, his impressive show in the ODI series was enough to earn him the maiden Test call after Australian vice-captain Josh Hazlewood was ruled out of the series with an injury.

Richardson showed no signs of nervousness when he opened Australia's bowling along with Mitchell Starc in the first Test at the Gabba on Thursday.

The young fast bowler was finally rewarded for his consistent swing and pace with the wicket of Sri Lanka captain Dinesh Chandimal for a mere five runs.

The 22-year-old has been named the 'Captain Killer,' after he made Kohli his bunny in the recently ended ODI series and on Thursday, he kick-started his Test career by dismissing another international captain.

It was Australia’s second wicket of the match, with Pat Cummins getting opener Lahiru Thirimanne (12) in the previous over.

Richardson bagged figures of 1 for 17 from seven overs in his first spell in Test cricket before off-spinner Nathan Lyon replaced him at the Stanley St end.

Richardson later in the day added two more wickets to his account by dismissing dangerous middle-order batters Kudal Mendis (14) and Dhananjaya de Silva (5).
