India lost seven wickets inside 200 runs and their defeat seemed not far away, however, Chahar had other plans and took India to a thrilling three-wicket triumph.

The cricket fraternity soon had left praises for Chahar’s special show, and former Pakistan leg-spinner Danish Kaneria lauded the 28-year-old and credited former Indian captain, MS Dhoni, for grooming the youngster.

Chahar has been a part of the Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) side since IPL 2018. Kaneria added that Dhoni has left a legacy after his retirement.

"The legacy that MS Dhoni will leave for India, as well as CSK, will remain for a long time. The way Ravichandran Ashwin has performed in Australia, the way Deepak Chahar has performed of late, one understands that they have adapted to the requirements of the team and are following it. How to take a game deep, how to win a game when the team seems to be down and out, it is all Dhoni's legacy,” Kaneria told in his Youtube channel.

Prominent names like Ravi Ashwin, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja have been groomed under Dhoni's leadership and Kaneria believes that the wicketkeeper-batter has left his legacy which a current lot of players.
