Deepak Chahar surprised his girlfriend and proposed to her after Chennai Super Kings' match against Punjab Kings and she said yes.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) might have ended their league stage on a disappointing note with a loss against Punjab Kings (PBKS), however, it was all celebrations after the game on October 7 because of two reasons, Champion Dwayne Bravo's birthday and Deepak Chahar proposing to his girlfriend and she saying yes.
After a KL Rahul masterclass, Dubai International Stadium went all romantic as Chahar decided to surprise her girlfriend, Jaya Bhardwaj, a Delhi girl with a ring and propose to her for marriage. She didn't have a clue that Chahar was going to do such a thing but she did say yes and both of them exchanged the rings.
After the moment, Jaya was asked how she was feeling, she said, "Super nervous, I am shivering, I don't even know what just happened."
Deepak then just asked her to express her happiness after which Jaya gave a kiss on his cheek and said, "I just don't know what to say, honestly. I am thrilled. I have no idea what to say, I thought you were going to do this after."
Jaya was very nervous in the dressing room after the magical moment and was seen mingling with wives and girlfriends of other cricketers, while showing them her ring, just when MS Dhoni's wife Sakshi mentioned that she knew before that Chahar was going to propose on that day.
Deepak Chahar bent on his knees to propose to his girlfriend in the stands after the game and she said yes as he asked MS Dhoni's daughter Ziva to make some space for him to go on his knees as he presented the ring to his lady love as the owners, CEO of the franchise, friends, families of other CSK teammates around him were in jubilation. After reaching the hotel, the couple cut a cake and Chahar received a cake smash from his teammates.
