Rajasthan Royals let an advantage slip against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as after being on 77/0 owing to a fantastic opening partnership between Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal, they lost nine wickets for 72 runs since then to end up with a total of just 149 runs.
RCB spinners Shahbaz Ahmed and Yuzvendra Chahal starred for Virat Kohli and co with the ball as they ended with combined figures of 4/28 off six overs.
Lewis and Jaiswal smashed the RCB bowlers as the fifty partnership was up in just the fifth over and it seemed like they came with the license to just go after the bowling. Whether it was debutant George Garton or the Purple Cap holder Harshal Patel, the left-handed duo didn't leave any of them.

The West Indian was a little more severe as he raced off to 39 off just 16 balls but once Dan Christian got the wicket of Jaiswal, it was all downhill for the Royals from there.
Garton in his second spell got his revenge getting Lewis to hit straight up in the air into the keeper's hands and the spinners were in business.
It was Chahal, who dismissed Mahipal Lomror and then Shahbaz spring into the action with back-to-back wickets of skipper Sanju Samson and Rahul Tewatia in the same over.

It felt like every RR player just wanted to hit and smash everything, which brought their downfall. Liam Livingstone soon went after, becoming Chahal's second victim as RR's innings after overspeeding met a car crash as they could score just 58 runs in the last 10 overs, losing 7 wickets.
Chahal finished with figures of 2/18, while Shahbaz picked 2/10 in his two overs.
