IPL 2021, Qualifier 1: Chennai Super Kings win toss, opt to bowl; Tom Curran comes in for Delhi Capitals

Chennai Super Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first against Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 1 of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Skipper MS Dhoni said that in the games they have played in Dubai so far they felt there was a bit of help for the seamers initially adding that it's a tough wicket, but it may get better later on.

Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant said that he would have bowled first as well but they have batted first in many games in the league stage, so wasn't much disappointed. It was Pant's first playoff game as a captain and he was slightly nervous saying that it is part and parcel of the game as bog matches do bring out some nervousness.

CSK went with the same side but DC made one change bringing in Tom Curran in place of Riapl Patel as Marcus Stoinis still wasn't match fit.
