Mumbai Indians left-arm spinning all-rounder Krunal Pandya's sportsman spirit was on display in his side's game against the Punjab Kings when he withdrew a run-out appeal against KL Rahul.
The incident took place on the last ball of the final over of the powerplay bowled by Pandya. It was an overpitched delivery which Chris Gayle dug out and struck fiercely straight towards his skipper Rahul, who was standing at the non-striker's end and it hit him on his right hand.
The ball ricocheted off his hands and went towards the bowler, who directed towards the stumps and appealed for it. But, Krunal Pandya was quick to take the appeal back also supported by his skipper Rihit Sharma as Rahul didn't attempt to take a run but he was there as a reaction to the instant pain he felt getting hit by a thunderous shot from Gayle.
