Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and chose to bowl first against Mumbai Indians in Match No 33 of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Skipper Eoin Morgan said that bowling first worked for them in their last game, so he went with the same formula.

Morgan said that the sport has a great way of levelling thus the key for the men in purple was not to get complacent and follow the processes, what they did right against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). KKR went with an unchanged side.

For Mumbai Indians (MI), skipper Rohit Sharma returned to the side after missing against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as Anmolpreet Singh missed out.

Mumbai Indians are currently in the fourth position in the points table with four wins, while KKR are in the sixth spot with three wins.
