Chennai Super Kings are known for their stability and giving security to the players in their team as they don't really make changes in their playing XI unless a particular player really needs to be dropped because of being in poor touch or the conditions demand a horses-for-courses change.

Another example of CSK backing a player to the hilt was on display on Wednesday after the opening batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad came back smashing into the form after an indifferent start to the campaign in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). 

In the three innings, Gaikwad returned with scores of 5(8), 5(16) and 10(13) and the fans and experts had started questioning his place in the side given the men in yellow have options at the top of the order. However, Gaikwad put that all aside in the fourth game against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as he brought up his fourth fifty of the league and he was the aggressor between him and Faf du Plessis.

Gaikwad took his time initially but once he got a boundary, he was up and running and smashed a flurry of boundaries and once he was set, he started dictating the terms. He brought up his fifty in just 32 balls and played an outstanding innings of 64 runs off just 42 balls.

The netizens admired the CSK management for backing a player and showing faith in him despite going through a lean patch and heaped praise on Gaikwad for a fantastic innings. Here are some of the reactions:
