Virat Kohli seemed unhappy with the umpire's judgement on the field on Rahul Tripathi's LBW call as it was overturned after the DRS call.
Virat Kohli is one of the most charged up personalities on the field and when an on-field decision doesn't go in his favour even though the replays showed that the batter was out and eventually RCB got the wicket, it frustrated him during the Eliminator of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The incident took place on the last delivery of the seventh over of the KKR innings bowled by Yuzvendra Chahal when Rahul Tripathi failed to read a goodly by the leggie and the ball hit him firsts onto the pads and then clipped his bat but the umpire thought the other way and gave it not out. However, the wicket-keeper KS Bharat was confident that it was pad first indeed and that Kohli should go for the review and he did the same.
The replays showed that it was pad first and the ball was going to hit the stumps and the whole RCB side was in jubilation as they got their second breakthrough defending a total of 138 runs.
However, Kohli wasn't happy with the umpire as it seemed he was asking him why didn't he notice that it was pad first and gave it out on-field. Kohli confronted the umpire just after the decision since it was the final ball of the over and the umpire came back to him at the end of the next over to explain to him why he gave the decision what he did after which Kohli was all smiles.
The users on Twitter had a divided opinion on the same as some criticised Kohli for almost scolding the umpire even after taking the DRS and used it for what it is there for - when the player is not happy with the on-field call, however, some were that saying Kohli was right since the umpiring in this game has been poor as the umpire Virender Sharma's three decisions were overturned.
