IPL 2021 Auction: Cash-rich tournament becomes meme-template for Twitterati

A list of 292 players will go under the hammer at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 Auction which is all set to take place on February 18 in Chennai. 

The IPL had announced that 1,114 players had registered initially and the eight franchises submitted their shortlisted players. The final list of the IPL 2021 consisted of 292 players, out of which 164 are Indian, 125 overseas and 3 players from Associated nations.

The IPL 2021 will see franchises like Mumbai Indians (MI), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Delhi Capitals (DC), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) go on war to strengthen their group and win the cash-rich tournament trophy.

So while franchises await the big day, fans have flood Twitter with memes which are relatable to every IPL fan.
