Indian Premier League is getting ready for its 12th edition. The planning has already begun, the transfer wiondow is open and the IPL teams are using the trade, transfer and retain options before they finalise their squads in the IPL 2019 auction in December.
The IPL 2019 auction is expected to be on December 17 and 18.
With Thursday being the last day to come up with the list of released and transferred players, the IPL franchises are ready with their updated squad list.
CSK release three players
Defending champions Chennai Super Kings released Mark Wood, Kanishk Seth and Kshitiz Sharma for the next season. However, they retained David Willey and Mitchell Santner.
KKR let Starc go
Kolkata Knight Riders released Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc via text message. Starc was bought by the franchise in the IPL 2018 auction for Rs 9.40 Crore but missed the entire season of IPL after picking up an injury.
Shikhar Dhawan returns home
Shikhar Dhawan will join Delhi Daredevils from Sunrisers Hyderabad for IPL 2019. SRH bagged the trio of Abhishek Sharma, Vijay Shankar and Shahbaz Nadeem for Dhawan.

Marcus Stoinis and Mandeep Singh traded
Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore traded Mandeep Singh for Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis from Kings XI Punjab. RCB had bid Rs 6.20 crore for Stoinis before KXIP retained him using the ‘Right to Match’ card at the 2018 auction. Mandeep Singh meanwhile was bought by RCB for Rs 1.40 crore.
Quinton de Kock goes to Mumbai Indians
South Africa's Quinton de Kock was the first trade of this transfer window. The wicketkeeper batsman, brought by RCB for Rs 2.8 crore in IPL 2019 auction, was sold to Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians released Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman (Rs 2.2 crore) and Sri Lankan offspinner Akila Dananjaya (Rs 50 lakh) to make the buy possible.
