IPL 2018: Watch- fan touches MS Dhoni’s feet during CSK v/s RR match

MS Dhoni arguably enjoys the biggest fan-following among all the cricketers in IPL 2018. 'Thala' as Dhoni is lovingly called by Chennai Super Kings fans is respected and revered by cricket fans all over India and they never let go a chance to display thier love. 

On Friday, during the Indian Premier League match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals- a Dhoni fan ran into the middle to touch his feet.

The incident took place when Dhoni was coming in to bat after Suresh Raina’s wicket fell. The fan ran into the middle of and touched his feet. 

Dhoni looked a little surprised by the gesture of his fan. However, he calmly reacted to it and even said a few words to the fan. The fan was seen thanking the heavens after getting the chance to touch the feet of his god.

Dhoni scored just 5 runs of three balls in the match. However, CSK won the match comfortably by 64 runs thanks to Shane Watson's century and a good bowling effort. 

Watson slammed his third IPL century as Chennai Super Kings posted a challenging 204 for five against Rajasthan Royals, Playing first match at their new home venue, CSK were shepherded by the 36-year-old Australian, who hammered 106 from 57 balls, making full use of a dropped chance in the very first over on a flat track. 

Ben Stokes was the only saving grace during Rajasthan Royals chase scoring a fighting 45 of 37 balls. Jos Butler scored 22 but it was never going to be enough as RR finished tamely for 140 all out in 18.3 overs. For CSK, it was allround bowling performance with Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Dwyane Bravo, Karn Sharma taking two wickets apiece.
