Rajasthan Royals kept themselves alive in the race for IPL play-offs as they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 30 runs at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Saturday.
Shreyas Gopal, Heinrich Klassen, Rahul Tripathi and K Gowtham emerged as heroes for Royals in the match.
Rahul Tripathi scored a brillinat 80 runs off 58 balls at the top while Heinrich Klassen (32)and K Gowtham (14) finished with a flourish to take Rajasthan Royals to 164/5.
Gowtham then removed RCB skipper Virat Kohli early during the chase. However, Parthiv Patel and AB de Villiers looked set to take the visitors to the win.
Patel (33) was brilliantly stumped by Klassen off Gopal's bowling. The "st Klassen b Gopal" combine accounted for two more RCB bastmen including AB de Villiers (53 of 35 balls).
Gopal finished with 16/4 while Klassen effected 4 dismissals behind the stumps. Gopal also caught Moeen Ali off his own bowling while Klassen took a great catch of Laughlin's bowling to send back Sarfaraz Khan.
