IPL 2018: Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni set big records in CSK v/s MI match

Rohit Sharma played a captain’s knock with an unbeaten 56 as defending champions Mumbai Indians notched up a last-over eight-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Saturday. 

Mumbai Indians restricted Chennai Super Kings to 169-5 and chased the target with two balls to spare at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. 

Rohit Sharma hit a 33-ball unbeaten 56 to complete the run chase after Evin Lewis (47 off 43) and Suryakumar Yadav (44) added 69 runs for the opening wicket.

# Rohit Sharma’s teams have never lost when he has remained not out while chasing in IPL. He has done it 16 times– 4 times for Deccan Chargers & 12 for Mumbai Indians.

# This was also Rohit Sharma’s 16th IPL Man of the Match. He is second to Chris Gayle (20) while AB De Villiers and Yusuf Pathan also have 16 MoMs each. 

# Rohit Sharma also became the 2nd player to complete 600 runs against the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. He has already scored 606 runs against them in 23 innings at an average of 30.30 with help of six fifties.

# It was MS Dhoni's 150th IPL match as a captain. Dhoni has won 88 of his matches while he has lost 61 and one has ended up as no result.

# This is the second time MI's top three have all scored 40 plus runs in a game in IPL 2018.
