Team India pacer Mohammed Siraj opened up about the on-field incident between skipper Virat Kohli and Ben Stokes after the end of the first day's play. Kohli and Stokes were seen in a heated discussion between overs after the star all-rounder had chirped a few words at the pacer.

Asked what really happened, Siraj said, "Wo Stokes pehle gaali diya bouncer k baad to main Virat bhaiya ko bola fir unhone handle kiya (Stokes swore at me/abused me after the bouncer, so I told Virat Bhai and he handles it thereafter)."

Siraj, later in the press conference said that it wasn't anything serious as these things keep happening on the field.

Commentator and former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar noticed that Stokes had said something to the pacer after he bowled a bouncer at him. After the incident, Skipper Kohli intervened and stood up for his teammate after Stokes abused him. The two were seen in animated discussion during the overs after the umpires came in and separated the two.

Another Day of India's domination

Another day of Test cricket where India dominated the proceedings as nothing went as per plan for the English side after winning the toss. The duo of Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin led the bowling attack again as they shared 7 wickets between the two. India bowled out England for just 205 runs after finishing the day at 24/1.
