Team India suffered an innings defeat in the third Test against England at Leeds to allow the hosts tie the 5-match series 1-1. Virat Kohli-led India suffered an embarassing batting order collapse in both the innings of the Leeds match to help England resgister a comprehensive win. Only Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara offered some resistance to England bowlers in the second innings of the Test.

This is India's first innings defeat in Test after three years and it gave an opportunity to critics, fans and journalists to dissect the team's strategy and hold debates over the weakness of Kohli-led side.

Former Indian batsman Vinod Kambli had also gave his thoughts on what he would have done had he been the captain of the Indian cricket team. “#INDvENG Its time to rest Ajinkya and get @surya_14kumar.instead of playing four fast bowlers get in ashwin and if i was the captain I will talk to every individual players regarding the middle order batsmen and boost their confidence,” Kambli tweeted.

The former India Test player got brutally trolled for his advice with netizens taking to Twitter to hit out at Kambli.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq had said that the failure of Kohli, Pujara and Rahane is the main reason for India's poor show against England.

In a video on his Youtube channel, he said: "If you look at Team India’s batters, Virat Kohli hasn’t scored a hundred in nearly two years. The case is the same with Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane is also struggling. Youngsters have been bailing the team out of difficult situations in recent times.”
