Ishant rattled the stumps of Finch in the first over of the Australian innings to give the visitors a flying start. The right-hander missed the line of the delivery and the ball took an inside edge and crashed into the stumps, uprooting middle and off.

Finch's wicket gave India the early breakthroug as they put the hosts under pressure after posting 250 in their first innings.

Ishant returned to take another big wicket - captain Tim Paine - getting him caught behind.

With Paine's wicket, Ishant completed 50 Test wickets against Australia. Ishant has taken 22 wickets in Tests played on Australian soil.

Australia are Ishant's second favourite opposition in terms of wickets. Ishant has taken 56 wickets against England.

Australia were 191/7 at stumps on day 2.
