Kohli and Sharma — ranked No. 1 and 2 respectively in the ICC ODI batting charts — made a mockery of the visitors’ tricky target of 323, with the former notching up his 36th ODI century and the latter remaining unbeaten on 152 to take India over the line with more than seven overs to spare.

It was Sharma’s sixth 150-plus score in ODIs, a record.

“I have always enjoyed batting with him (Sharma),” Kohli said after the victory.
