Although Pakistan remains at the top of Group A, India has finally entered the scoreboard as points were evenly distributed.
The highly anticipated India vs Pakistan match in Pallekele unfortunately had to be called off due to inclement weather conditions. Regrettably, Pakistan was unable to commence their chase as persistent rain ultimately led to the abandonment of the match.
Earlier in the game, India faced a setback as they were bowled out for a total of 266 runs, with Shaheen Afridi showcasing his prowess by claiming an impressive four-wicket haul. Despite this, the Indian team displayed resilience, with Hardik Pandya (87) and Ishan Kishan (82) delivering commendable performances, both achieving half-centuries.
No result! Both teams get one point each.

With Pakistan beating Nepal before, they now sit on three points and have secured a place in the super 4s. India have to beat Nepal in their next fixture to qualify! #AsiaCup2023 #PAKvIND pic.twitter.com/VH6Uw4nhoD
Initially, India found themselves in a precarious position at 66 for 4, but a remarkable 138-run partnership between Hardik and Kishan revived their chances and brought them back into contention. However, towards the end of the innings, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf proved to be formidable opponents, each claiming three wickets, thereby denting India's display.
