Chetan Sakariya, the son of a former tempo driver had become the newest addition to the Rajasthan Royals (RR) camp after he was purchased for Rs 1.2 crore.

The 22-year-old is a left-arm pacer who represents Saurashtra in domestic competitions, has surely grabbed the attention of all with his bowling. In the clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), he had even taken the wicket of Thala MS Dhoni. He picked up three wickets and conceded 36 runs in his quota of four overs.

While all seems fun and roses now, things haven't been easy for Sakariya, whose younger brother committed suicide earlier this year just ahead of the IPL 2021 mini-auction.

Not just that his father is bedridden, having met a road accident. Amidst such heart-breaking challenges, Sakariya showed courage and worked hard to make them a reality.

Realizing how much his brother means to him, Sakariya IPL franchise, Rajasthan Royals, paid a tribute through a heart-warming gesture.

The side dedicated a team jersey with the number 28 and initials R.K. imprinted on its back. The shirt also has a "Miss you bro" message written over it.

As for RR, they are on the sixth spot winning one and losing two of their three games so far. They next face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 22 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. RCB have been unbeaten till now and are sitting atop the points table.
