Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly turned 45 on Saturday and Twitter was flooded with wishes for one of the nation's most successful captains.

After making a sensational Test debut at the iconic Lord's Stadium in 1996, where he scored a century, Ganguly went on to lead Team India in 49 Tests and 147 ODIs.The left-hander is regarded as one of the most successful Indian captains and is often credited with changing the face of country's cricket.He scored 7212 runs in 113 Test matches at an average of 42.17. While, in ODI cricket, Ganguly made 11363 runs in 311 games.

Twitter was flooded with nostalgic pictures and wishes from his former colleagues as well as the current crop of players.  

Mohammad Kaif, who played a key role in one of Ganguly's iconic victory at Lord's during Natwest final in 2001, also tweeted his wishes.

"Whatever success I could achieve in Test Cricket,I truly attribute it to the wonderful support you gave me @SGanguly99 . #HappyBirthdayDada," wrote Virender Sehwag.

"Happy Birthday to one of India's finest cricketers, Sourav Ganguly!" tweeted ICC.
