ENG vs IND: From roaring welcome to appreciation from fans, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami get all excited - WATCH

An unbeaten 77-run stand in 111 balls by the tail-enders - this is what happened at Lord's courtesy Jasprti Bumraha and Mohammed Shami's commendable batting against England. While if this was not enough, Shami even reached his half-century during this process.

India, before the start of Day 5 were hoping to somehow sneak to a 200+ lead, but with this inspirational partnership, it has stretched to 259 now. 

This is also the highest individual score for both Bumrah and Shami in Tests. This is also now the highest ninth-wicket partnership for India in England surpassing 66 by Kapil Dev and Madan Lal at the same venue in 1982.

The two players batted till lunch and surely got a grand welcome from teammates. Not just them even the crowd at the iconic stadium gave them applause.

As for the clash, Rishabh Pant was sent back to the pavilion within the first hour of the clash. Ishant Sharma stayed but he too was sent back again.

Amid all this, the players were also seen having arguments. The whole saga had started after James Anderson had received bouncers on Day 3. Virat Kohli and Anderson continued the fight on Day 4 and the heat continued till Day 5.
