From copying Anil Kumble in childhood to wanting to bowl to Sachin Tendulkar, Nepal's Sandeep Lamichhane replies to fans

Nepal's most famous cricketer, Sandeep Lamichhane has impressed one and all in professional leagues all around the world. The young lad, who became the first cricketer from Nepal to earn an Indian Premier League (IPL) contract in 2018, did a question and answer on Twitter and answered fans.

During the session, a fan asked Sandeep Lamichhane, "Which bowler's action did you try to copy as a child?". In his response, Lamichhane wrote, "Haha, I used to copy @anilkumble1074 in my childhood. He is an amazing personality with a great cricketing mind".

One fan even asked if there was any batsman from the past he would have loved to bowl to, to which the Delhi Capitals' player replied, "No doubt @sachin_rt! It was always a pleasure to watch him on the field. Thanks".

Lamichhane, who has played 9 matches in his IPL career so far and has scalped 13 wickets, was also asked who was his favourite cricketer to which he replied, "Hi, I have a large number of fav players of mine but if I have to talk about the best, I would say @sachin_rt & @ShaneWarne."

The leg-spinner was also questioned if he ever sledged. Replying to the fan, Lamichhane said, Hahahaha Yes, I used to sledged when I started my Cricket Journey. It was not that bad, but yeah I justed wanted to distract the batsmen’s mind. But no more sledging now".

As for Lamichhane's cricket career, he had made his T20I debut against the West Indies at Lord's in 2018. He was a part of the World XI team and got to an over during the game. 

Later that year, Lamichhane went on to make his ODI debut for Nepal against the Netherlands. During the match, he managed to take a wicket and since then, Lamichhane has played 10 ODIs for his country and has claimed 23 wickets with an economy rate of 4.20. As for T20I, Lamichhane has taken 34 wickets after featuring in 21 matches with an economy rate of 6.51.
