After Virat Kohli and his men collapsed to 78 all out at Headingley on Wednesday and Team India lost their last six in just 22 runs after being at 56/4 at lunch in the ongoing ENG vs IND 3rd Test at Leeds, a 2016 tweet by Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is back in the news.
Back in 2016, former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff had compared Virat Kohli to Joe Root saying that the Indian batsman might “catch up" with Root someday.
“At this rate @imVkohli will be as good as @root66 one day ! Not sure who @englandcricket will meet in the final now !" Flintoff had tweeted.

Following this Amitabh Bachchan had responded by saying: “Root who ? जड़ से उखाड़ देंगे Root ko ..!!! (Root who? We will uproot him)."

This was when Kohli’s 82* off 51 deliveries against Australia in Mohali helped India book a semifinal spot of the World T20 cricket tournament in 2016.
However, netizens are now "demanding" Amitabh Bachchan delete this tweet as England skipper Joe Root is probably in the form of his life having scored over 1350 runs in the 2021 calendar year as he smashed loads of runs earlier in the year in Sri Lanka and India and now has aggregated over 500 runs in this series with more innings left.
