ENG vs WI: Ben Stokes receives huge compliment from Sachin Tendulkar for class-oozing performance

Former Team India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has showered praises over Ben Stokes for his class-oozing performance against West Indies during England's 2nd Test match at Old Trafford in Manchester.

The legendary batsman took to social media to express his thoughts about Stokes, who acted as the win on England's sails to secure a 113-run victory to level the series 1-1.

In the match, Stokes helped his side hoist 176-run in the first innings with an inspiring 57-ball 78 against a steaming Windies bowling attack.

Reacting to this, Sachin took to Twitter and labelled the English allrounder's performance as 'remarkable'.

"Great comeback by England to win this Test. This is turning out to be a brilliant Test Series! England have been superb & the way @benstokes38 has played is just remarkable. It will be a great finale to this Series! Looking forward to the 3rd Test already! #ENGvWI," Tendulkar wrote.

Stokes' inspirational innings also earned him the man of the match award for the 2nd Test.

Speaking about his different roles in both the innings, Ben said: "Both completely different roles, last night and this morning was simple in terms of what we needed to do to get ahead of the game."

The third and final Test match, which is now the series decided, is scheduled to start from July 24.
