World Cup 2019: Opting to bat first, New Zealand take on hosts England in the final at the Lord’s on Sunday. While the English are favourites to win the tournament and get the trophy 'home', the Kiwis who have not played like the underdogs are eyeing their maiden title.

Rain played its part by delaying the toss by 15 minutes. The London forecast is however said to be sunny throughout the day.

What will happen if the match turns into a tie? 

ICC has said that if the World Cup final, turns into a tie, the winner could be decided by a Super Over.

Replicating the arrangements of the previous edition of the cricket World Cup, the ICC Board reinstated the use of a ‘Super Over’ in the event of a tie in the final of the 50-over showpiece event.

But what will happen is the game is washed out?

If the final and also the reserve day is washed out due to rain, then the two finalists share the trophy.
