ENG vs IND: Mohammed Shami cuts cake on his birthday brought by Indian spectator, leaves fans in awe

Team India pacer Mohammed Shami may have missed out on playing in the fourth Test against England at the Oval in London, however, the fans made his day on Friday, September 3 as the pacer turned 31. A few ardent fans of Shami in the crowd brought a cake on his birthday, wearing his birthday special t-shirts along with the balloons and the fanfare.

Shami was walking on the sidelines of the boundary rope along with his Bengal teammate Abhimanyu Easwaran when the fans brought out the cake in the open and requested the pacer to cut the cake.

Shami obliged as he cut the cake with the fan in the stands holding it from his end.

The heartwarming moment won everyone's hearts of the ones in the stands and all of them watching on television from their homes. The moment left fans in awe as they suggested it can happen only from Indians, who made special t-shirts just for his birthday, managed to bring the cake ready, waiting for the pacer to cut it.

Shami, along with Ishant Sharma was left out of India's playing XI for the fourth Test as both had niggles as the visitors brought in Umesh Yadav and Shardul Thakur in the side.
