Burns and Hameed had stitched a 100-run partnership frustrating the visitors for almost two sessions, but it was the golden arm of Thakur to provide his team with the big breakthrough.

Thakur returned and this time drew the big fish, i.e., Joe Root when the England skipper and Chris Woakes had taped the running tap when the hosts lost four wickets inside six overs with Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja triggering a mini-collapse.

However, both Root and Woakes dug deep to deny any wicket to the Indian team for a period of 13 overs. Since 80 overs had been completed, the new ball was due but with 15 minutes to tea, the skipper Virat Kohli decided against it and went with Shardul Thakur to have a go.

And, the Palghar lad didn't disappoint. A friendly short-of-a-length ball outside the off-stump to Root, who tried to guide it towards the third man but instead got an inside edge onto the stumps and the hosts lost their most important wicket as they were now 182/7.

Thakur with his golden arm whether with the bat or ball inspired another flurry of reactions on social media where most of the users suggested, it's Lord Thakur's world and we are just living in it.
