Elite honesty on display from Cricket Australia, Kohli named skipper of ODI Team of the Year

Indian skipper Virat Kohli is one man who has broken records after records especially in the year 2018. The Delhi-lad had piled up 2653 runs in the calendar year, the highest by any batsmen.

In the recently released Cricket Australia's ODI team of the year, Virat Kohli was named as the skipper of the side.

With 1202 runs from 14 matches, he is also the leading run-scorer in 2018. These stats include three hundreds in a series twice and three 50+ scores.

The team of the year also included Rohit Sharma, Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav, and paceman Jaspreet Bumrah.

However, not so surprisingly, the team does not include any Australian players after the team’s performance and the scandals they were involved in 2018.

India's next ODI campaign against Australia will start on 12 January at Sydney. The three-match series will be concluded in Melbourne on 18 January and the second ODI is said to take place on 15 January at Adelaide Oval.
