CSK vs PBKS clash in IPL tonight could see MS Dhoni going past Suresh Raina's tally, and Shikhar Dhawan can also surpass Virat Kohli's record.
CSK vs PBKS clash in IPL tonight could see plenty of records being broken. While former Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni can join Rohit Sharma in an illustrious list, he can also surpass Suresh Raina's tally of sixes.
Moreover, he's not the only player chasing records tonight as Punjab Kings veteran Shikhar Dhawan also eyes two personal milestones tonight, including a feat currently topped by Virat Kohli.
The stakes couldn't have been any higher for the CSK vs PBKS clash as both sides lost their previous game and would like to bounce back to winning ways.

Apart from the collective glory, there will be a couple of individual milestones as well that some of these players would be chasing. MS Dhoni for example, needs just three sixes to join the tally of top-five batters with most sixes for a single franchise.
It’s the battle of the Kings!

While Chris Gayle currently leads the list with 263 maximums in the famous RCB shirt, he is followed by Keiron Pollard (249) of Mumbai Indians, and Gayle's former teammates Ab de Villiers (240) and Virat Kohli (226) make up the top four.
Suresh Raina (219) is the fifth player, whom Dhoni can overtake tonight. Another milestone that he will reach in all certainty is that 'Thala' Dhoni will play in his 350th match in the shortest format against Punjab Kings.

On the other side, Shikhar Dhawan can also achieve a couple of personal milestones. Firstly, 'Gabbar' - as he is fondly called by the fans, needs just 7 boundaries to surpass the tally of 1000 fours in T20 format.

Dhawan already holds the record for hitting the most four in IPL (660), but he needs just seven more boundaries against CSK to achieve a huge milestone, and become the first Indian player to hit 1000 fours in the shortest format, and fourth overall.
The Southpaw can also move past Virat Kohli if he can score 41 runs tonight to become the player with the most runs against CSK in IPL history.
With so much at stake, surely we'll get to see a cracking game tonight at the Brabourne Stadium.
