Chennai Super Kings (CSK) IPL 2018 Schedule: Full list, fixtures, match time, tickets, venue and where to watch

Chennai Super Kings are back in the Indian Premier League. 

After one match at home at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai Super Kings will play their remaining home matches of the Indian Premier League in Pune. They play their first IPL 2018 at Pune on Friday, 20 April against Rajasthan Royals.  The matches have been moved from CSK's home ground MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai to MCA international stadium, Pune. The new CSK match schedule has been updated on IPL website too. 

The decision was taken by the BCCI and the IPL governing council after the local police said they would not be able to guarantee the security of the players amidst protests over the Cauvery water sharing dispute. CSK’s first home game of IPL 2018, against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), saw massive protests both in and out of the MA Chidambaram stadium over Cauvery water sharing dispute between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. 

While there were massive protests including buring of IPL tickets and CSK jerseys in Chennai city, an identified protestor flung a shoe at CSK’s Ravindra Jadeja during the match in the stadium.

MS Dhoni is back leading the side after having played for the Rising Pune Supergiant in the previous two seasons. 

Chennai were quick to retain Dhoni along with Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja. However they will miss the services of another regular R Ashwin. 

Chennai Super Kings focussed on experience in the IPL acuction- they have picked up veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, Kedar Jadhav, Ambati Rayudu, Shane Watson, Imran Tahir and Faf du Plessis among others.

They have also managed to ratain one of their biggest signings- Dwayne Bravo. 
 
They do have some young talents in form of Lungi Ngidi, Sam Billings and Mark Wood from overseas and Jagadeesan Narayan, Deepak Chahar, Asif KM, Dhruv Shorey and Monu Singh from the domestic circuit. However, they have been hit by injury to Mitchell Santner.
