The second week of July is big in Indian cricket history. Indian cricket fans recently celebrated the birthdays of two of India's best captains MS Dhoni and Sourav Ganguly. While MS Dhoni celebrates his birthday on July 7, Ganguly was born on July 8. Another former India captain Sunil Gavaskar also celebrates his birth this week- on July 10.

Virender Sehwag talked about this amazing link on Twitter. He wondered that where was the missing link i.e. the cricketer born on July 9. He wondered whether there was future Team India star going to be born on this date that will complete the link.

He tweeted, "July 7th- MS Dhoni; July 8th- Sourav Ganguly; July 9th- ?; July 10th- Sunil Gavaskar; The missing 9th. Somewhere, a future India captain and icon will be born or celebrating his birthday today. #JulyMePaidaHoJaaoCaptainBanJaao"

However, Sehwag got a prompt reply from cricket statistician Mohandas Menon who said that there was a Indian cricketer born on July 9. He tweeted that former India spinner Venkatapathy Raju celebrates his birthday on this day.

Raju came into the Indian side in 1989–90 making his Test and One Day International début in New Zealand. Raju played his last Test match for India in 2001 against Australia in the historic Kolkata match. The Hyderabad players retired from first-class cricket in December 2004. However, he never captained Team India.
