T20 cricket can be a very interesting and exciting game with teams giving viewers many unforgettable moments and what happened in the match between Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Renegades has been notably the best moment especially for the batsmen.

Hurricanes fast bowler Riley Meredith delivered one of the most expensive overs in the history of Big Bash League on Thursday night.

The bowler, who had returned from sickness, delivered three consecutive no-balls as well as two wides that went to the boundary — one of which was called leg byes which saved Meredith from bowling an extra delivery.

His first over read: 0, 0, 1, 1nb, 5wd, 5nb, 5nb, 1, 1, 4lb. 0-23.

The over had multiple waist-high full tosses which were called no-balls which led to free hits. His streak of poor bowling meant he went for 17 runs from just one legal ball.

Hobart made 183-6 batting first, with opener Matthew Wade top-scoring with 58 while Ben McDermott hit an unbeaten 39.

They went on to have a 16-run win and secured the top spot on the ladder.

They will take on the Sydney Thunder on Saturday night at Manuka Oval in both side’s final game of the season. Melbourne Renegades will wait for the finals starting on Thursday.
