Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly once again flew out to United Kingdoms presumably to hold further talks over the much-speculated four-nation ODI Super Series which is set to take place from 2021.

According to the fresh IANS reports, an informal meeting has been scheduled with the English and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and there is a high chasse of Cricket Australia (CA) officials also being part of that.

A source close to the development allegedly has claimed that discussions over how the four-nation ODI series can fit into the Future Tours Programme (FTP) are also in the pipeline.

“Yes, Ganguly headed to UK from the Eden Gardens on Wednesday and there will be talks around the 4-nation tournament during his stay there."

"Cricket Australia officials could also join in. That depends on how things progress as some things need looking into,” the source told IANS.

On Wednesday (Feb 5), the BCCI president flew out to the UK as his Instagram feed suggests.

Back in December, Sourav said that India will be going head-to-head against England, Australia and one more top side in the coming year.

Ganguly during an interview later on also claimed that there's still nothing concrete about the tournament and it will take some time to put together something as grand as this.

“Australia, England, India and another top team will feature in the Super Series which begins in 2021 and the first edition of the tournament will be played in India."

"Nothing is concrete yet. It will take a bit of time," Ganguly said.

Right after that, ECB also released a statement on the matter which states: “We meet regularly with other leaders from the major cricketing nations to share learnings and discuss topics that impact our sport."

"A four-nation tournament was raised at a meeting with the BCCI in December and we are open to discussions with other ICC members to see if this concept can develop.”

If this 4-nation series actually takes place, this will be very special for world cricket due to the International Cricket Council (ICC) generally not allowing more than three teams being involved in ODI tournaments.
