The Pakistan cricket team are currently in Australia and lost the series to the host by an innings and 5 runs in Brisbane.

The Aussies on Sunday took a 1-0 lead in the two-match series at the Gabba.

While the loss may have affected the mood of the Pak players they sure extended an invitation to an Indian taxi driver.

Pakistan cricketers Shaheen Shah Afridi, Yasir Shah and Naseem Shah invited the Indian taxi driver for dinner after he refused to take money from the players for a ride he gave them in Brisbane.

ABC radio presenter Alison Mitchell - who got to know about the story from the same cabbie - narrated the story to former Australia pacer Mitchell Johnson.

The driver (name not disclosed) told the presenter how thrilled he was after he got the chance to have dinner with the 5 Pakistani cricketers.

The cabbie said that he had picked up the 5 players from Pakistan's team hotel in Brisbane and took them to an Indian restaurant for dinner. He then refused to take the cab fare from them out of respect. The players in return invited him for dinner with them.

The video of Alison telling the story to Johnson has gone viral on social media.

As for the match, the second Test, a day-night affair, will be played at the Adelaide Oval and will start on Friday.
