Alex Carey who was released by Delhi Capitals (DC) ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, scored Big Bash League's (BBL) first century on season 10. Carey, of Adelaide Strikers, notched up his second century in BBL history. The crowd was up on their feet to applaud his prolific knock.
Adelaide Strikers opted to bat first against Brisbane Heat and their openers gave them a superb start adding 66 runs in the powerplay. However, once that partnership was broken, Carey decided to anchor the innings.
Not only did he rotate the strike, but also kept getting those boundaries and sixes. In the final, over the innings, he brought up his second BBL hundred as the Strikers finished with a total closer to the 200-run mark.
