The warm-up match against Australia surely helped Team India get an understanding of who could be the playing XI  for their match against arch-rivals Pakistan in their campaign opener of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 in UAE.

While the batters put on a splendid show, the bowlers faced some issues. Among them was pacer, Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The swing bowler was ineffective with the ball as he leaked 54 runs off his four overs. Kumar, who is usually economical, was smothered by England batters on a flat and placid pitch.

Talking about the same, cricketer-turned-expert Aakash Chopra now feels the India fast bowler is not a certainty in the playing XI for the team's opener game.

Chopra reviewed the bowler's performance and said he is not looking his usual self. "Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been expensive. He is not looking a patch of his usual self. He has a lot of experience, but I am not 100% convinced that you can play him in the XI against Pakistan. I will be thinking about Shardul Thakur," Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

Apart from Bhuvneshwar, leg spinner Rahul Chahar was also expensive as he gave away 43 runs in his four overs. According to Chopra, the management would give Varun Chakravarthy a spot considering the below-par performance of Chahar.

"Rahul Chahar was very expensive. That means I see Varun Chakravarthy playing the next match and against Pakistan. Ravichandran Ashwin bowled well, bowled off-spin as well in the first couple of overs but will you see him playing as the third spinner if three play."

Among the Indian bowlers that played, the most impressive was Mohammed Shami, who managed to take three wickets. Off-spinner R Ashwin was the most economical bowler as he conceded just six runs per over.
