1.Oldest Indian Captain
MS Dhoni is now the oldest Indian ODI captain in men's cricket. At the age of 37 years and 80 days he beat Mohammad Azharuddin, who held the previous record having led India at the age of 36 years and 124 days. 2.3rd captain to 200
MS Dhoni became only the third captain to lead his country in 200 ODIs after Ricky Ponting and Stephen Fleming who led in 230 and 218 ODI matches respectively. (Image: PTI)
3.Most ties as captain

4.Dhoni's first match was tied as well
It looked like things came full circle for MS Dhoni. It was strange coincidence as Dhoni ended this match as a tie. Dhoni's first match as captain was also a tie involving Pakistan and ended with a bowl-out during 2007 T20 World Cup. Actually, Dhoni was to lead India against Scotland in his first international match but that match was washed out without a ball being bowled. MS Dhoni is the 4th captain to lead India in an international game after Kohli, Rohit and Ajinkya Rahane in 2018. India had as many as four captains in 2010 and 2011 (Dhoni, Sehwag, Gambhir and Suresh Raina). They also had four different captains in 1999 and five different Test skippers in 1959. Number of captains led India in ODIs in 2018- Virat Kohli in England, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni in this Asia Cup.
