The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP on Saturday (April 18) took to social media to hit back at Afridi's recent comments where the former skipper questioned India cricketer's frivolous attitude in his autobiography.

Afridi, in his post autobiography, had said that he used to love playing against Gautam Gambhir and Shane Warne the most because of how they reacted to sledding.

"(Gautam Gambhir) and his attitude problem. He, who has no personality. He, who is barely a character in the great scheme of cricket. He, who has no great records, just a lot of attitude. He, who behaves like he’s a cross between Don Bradman and James Bond," Shahid said while speaking about Gambhir.

However, his comments were picked up many publications due to the dearth of live-action amid COVID-19 lockdown.

Reacting to these comments, Gambhir took to Twitter and claimed that he has an attitude towards liars, traitors, and opportunists.

"Someone who doesn't remember his age how will he remember my records! ok. Shahid Afridi let me remind you one: 2007 T20 WC final, Ind vs Pak Gambhir 75 off 54 balls vs Afridi 0 off 1 ball. Most important: We won the Cup. And yes, I’ve attitude towards liars, traitors & opportunists," Gambhir wrote.

HERE IS THE POST:

In the match, Gambhir had also slammed a six on Afridi's ball.

India had defeated Pakistan in the inaugural edition of the ICC T20 World Cup final by five runs.

Afridi, however, is yet to respond to Gautam's comments.

On Friday, the BJP MP lauded all the pilots and the cabin crew for their tireless hard work in India's fight against the coronavirus outbreak.

The rapid spread of the virus worldwide has started seeing its serious impacts.

"Even during lockdown, our pilots & cabin crew are risking their lives by flying to save sick people & get essentials! They spend weeks away from families in quarantine & then fly again"

"A grateful nation salutes these #CoronaWarriors ! Flag of India @airindiain @DGCAIndia @MoCA_GoI," the BJP MP wrote on Twitter.

The 21-day lockdown which was scheduled to end on April 14 was further extended till May 3 by Primer Minister Narendra Modi as the number of coronavirus cases crossed 10,000 in India.
