Harbhajan Singh took a dig at the countries who have moon in their flags and said India will have their flag on the moon.
Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh on Monday celebrated the successful launch of indigenous moon mission -- Chandrayaan-2 -- from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.
The off-spinner took a dig at the countries who have moon in their flags and said India will have their flag on the moon.
Harbhajan Singh took to Twitter and wrote, "Some countries have the moon on their flags. While some countries having their flags on the moon. #Chandrayaan2theMoon."

While some countries having their flags on moon
#Chandrayaan2theMoon
Harbhajan's jibe was clearly directed at Pakistan. While some cheered him for delivering a 'sick burn', some were not impressed as it seemed like a comment on many all Muslim countries.
1. What Harbhajan tweeed
Harbhajan Singh sent the tweet after ISRO successfully launched its second moon mission Chandrayaan-2 from its most powerful rocket with a plan to land the rover on September 7 in the unexplored lunar south pole.
Harbhajan tweeted, “Some countries have moon on their flags. While some countries having their flags on moon.”
He posted the flags of Pakistan, Algeria, Turkey, Maldives, Mauritania, Tunisia, Libya, Malaysia and Azerbaijan in the first while the flags of India, United States of America, China and Russia in the second category. USA, Russia and China are the only three powers to have successfully landed on the surface of the moon.
2. Some enjoyed the tweet
Some on Twitter praised Harbhajan's tweet calling it a brilliant dig at one nation i.e. Pakistan.

3. Many criticised Harbhajan
Many were not impressed with the tweet. Some even accused him of ‘Muslim bashing’. While many pointed out that Harbhajan was dragging many countries into a tweet trying to insult Pakistan, some said such a tweet did not suit a player of his standing.
Sir, now I Understand what is the Similarity between You and Sunday School??

@harbhajan_singh this Muslim bashing nationalism isn't expected from a national treasure like yourself.

Arab countries are rich enough to launch such a programs but it's their regressive thinking that stops them. We should not have them as comparison standard.
A bit racist to be frank, as it specifically points to Muslim countries. Does not suit a National level player.

It's ok if u would have used only pakistan flag but using other country flag it's a insult for those countries who are allies of india

Paaji, this is not a nice way to celebrate our success. Instead of putting others down, we must strive to be better than those already better than us, no?
