Mayank Agarwal, 34, is an Indian cricketer who opens the batting with his right hand. He leads Karnataka in all formats of domestic cricket. Agarwal made his international debut for India on December 26, 2018, against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. He was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 8.5 crore in the 2023 IPL auction.

Mayank Agarwal, who set a base price of Rs 1 crore, surprisingly went unsold at the IPL 2025 mega auction. This outcome is quite unexpected, considering his decent performance in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season, where he scored 320 runs in seven matches for Karnataka, averaging 32.00 with a century and a fifty.
3.Mayank Agarwal’s recent success
He was the man behind Karnataka’s win in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. Agarwal performed amassing 651 runs, including four hundreds, from 10 innings at an average of 93.00 and a strike rate of 107.60.
4.Mayank Agarwal's poor performance
Mayank Agarwal's IPL form has been on a downward spiral since 2022. In the 2024 season, he played only four matches for SunRisers Hyderabad, scoring 64 runs at an average of 16. His performance was equally underwhelming in the 2023 edition, with 270 runs from 10 games, and in 2022, where he managed just 196 runs from 13 matches.
