King Kohli's Records: 10 milestones achieved by Virat Kohli in his 25th Test century

This was Virat Kohli's 25 century in Test cricket, 7th Test ton against Australia, 6th Test ton in Australia, 14th century in away Tests, 5th hundred in 2018 and 18th century as Indian captain.

Virat Kohli completed his 25 Test century becoming the second fastest to reach the milestone in 127 innings. Countryman Sachin Tendulkar is third with 130, while Don Bradman managed it in just 68.

It was also Kohli's sixth century in Australia, lifting him equal with Sachin Tendulkar as the only Indian batsmen to reach that tally.

Virat Kohli became the first name to join the honours board of the new Perth Stadium as he became the first Test centurion at the ground.

Virat Kohli is now the 11th batsman to complete 1000 Test runs in a calendar year overseas and the third Indian to achieve the mark after Rahul Dravid (1137 runs in 18 innings in 2002) and Mohinder Amarnath (1065 runs in 16 innings in 1983).

Virat Kohli is also the first Indian skipper to breach the milestone of 1000 Test runs in a calendar year overseas. He is the third overall captain after Australia's Bob Simpson and South Africa's Graeme Smith to do so.

Virat Kohli also became the fastest player to reach 5000 Tests runs batting at No.4 position – in 86 innings, surpassing Jacques Kallis (87 innings). In terms, of fastest to 5000 Test runs at any particular position, he is only behind Bradman (55 innings, batting at No.3).

Virat Kohli also became the first Asian batsman to score a ton in each South Africa, England and Australia in a same calendar year in Test cricket.

Virat Kohli now equal with West Indies great Clive Llyod for visiting captains with most centuries in Australia with 4.

This was Virat Kohli’s 11th 100 plus score across all formats in 2018, the second most in a calendar year, behind Sachin Tendulkar’s tally for 12 in 1998.
