India has always managed to produce some great talents through the Indian Premier League (IPL) and domestic tournaments like Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy or Ranji Trophy or the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Many of them went on to even represent the country and earn name and fame. Some of them even captain at the leagues and are making sure they give back for how much they are purchased for.

So who are the cricketers who have earned maximum salary at the cash-rich tournament?

The 'Thala' of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), MS Dhoni is the highest-paid player in the history of IPL. MSD has an income of over Rs 137 crore.

He will breach the 150 crore mark in IPL 2021.

Next on the list is Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma. The six-time IPL winning captain's income is over 132 crore.

He has been leading the side since 2013.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli is third on the list and has an income of over 126 crores. The batsman has only represented Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL and even leads it now.

The 'Chinna Thala' of CSK - Suresh Raina - is on the fourth spot. He was also once one of the most capped IPL player and he is short of breaching the 100 crore-mark. He skipped IPL 2020 due to personal reasons.

The two-times IPL winning captain Gautam Gambhir comes next on the income list and has over 94 crore income. He represented Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

One of the costliest players in the IPL history, Yuvraj Singh drew 84 crores income from 2008 to 2019.

He played for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Pune Warriors (PW), Delhi Capitals (DC), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI).

The former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vice-captain, Robin Uthappa has drawn over 75 crores in the IPL. He is currently traded to CSK for the 2021 season.

The Delhi Capitals opener Shikhar Dhawan also features on the list. The 'Gabbar' has earned over Rs 70 crore.

The CSK all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja despite missing a season features on the list and has an income of about 70 crores.

After winning IPL with Mumbai Indians (MI) and then captaining Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Dinesh Karthik has been earning 68 crores.
