The BCCI announced the schedule for the IPL 2021 season on Sunday as the 14th edition will kick-off on April 9 in Chennai
The new season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is just a month and two days away as the BCCI announced the full schedule of the upcoming edition. The 2021 season is set to return home as the 60 matches will be played across six venues in Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. The season will begin on April 9 in Chennai with the defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on the Indian skipper Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The newly renovated world's largest stadium in Ahemdabad will host the playoffs and the final, which be held on May 30. The home advantage is taken away from all of the eight teams as every team will play all their 14 games on neutral venues.
