Mumbai bowlers restricted Kolkata Knight Riders to 133 for 7 in their 20 overs. In reply, Mumbai openers Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma made a cautious start. However, Rohit Sharma (55*) and Suyakumar Yadav (46*) took Mumbai over the line and top of the table.
Mumbai Indians won the toss and invited Kolkata Knight Riders to bat first. Chris Lynn and Shubman Gill gave Kolkata a cautious start before Lynn started going for the big shots. They reached 49 in the powerplay. Gill (9) was trapped LBW by Hardik Pandya in the 7th over. Pandya then got Lynn (41) caught behind in his next over.
